Nothing says elegance and style like oysters and champagne. These are the essential ingredients of any glamorous and extravagant occasion and are bound to bring your experience to a more sophisticated level. Therefore, if you’re looking for fine seafood in Sydney and you want to explore it in style, visit some of the best restaurants to savor the rich flavor of oysters and champagne. After all, who can resist the lure of living in luxury for even a little while?
Bellevue
Not only will Bellevue lure you in with its delicious oysters, but it will also keep you inside as long as you can eat with its special offers. The former Bellevue Hotel was restored and transformed into an elegant restaurant where you can live the high life while spending no more than a dollar per oyster in November. On weekdays, you can save money on large dishes from noon until 6 pm. There’s more – keep in mind the happy hour from 5 pm to 7 pm on weekdays, and time your visit to Bellevue accordingly. Who says that seafood in Sydney has to cost you a fortune?

The best way to round up your day of shopping is by relaxing in style at the David Jones Oyster Bar. While waiting for your meal over a glass of champagne in a simple, yet elegant atmosphere, you can watch the chef prepare your fresh oysters. Once you’ve tried Sydney rock oysters, you’ll quickly realize why they are among the world’s best. If you want to try something different, Tetsuya’s dressing makes it a perfect choice. Other options include Mornay and Kilpatrick oysters, which might be a better choice if you like a more regular version.
Kensington Street Social
After visiting many attractions in the Chippendale area, you should also take some time to have a taste of its superb food. Kensington Street Social is just one of the Chippendale restaurants that will charm you in no time. With its elegantly presented oysters and champagne, be prepared for a truly sophisticated experience. The menu features many delicious options, including native rock oysters served with cucumber, chamomile and gin pickle that you can either have as a snack or share with two or more people when dining with company. Of course, the experience wouldn’t be complete without a glass of a bubbly. Fortunately, Kensington Street Social offers a range of the best French champagnes.
While visiting Sydney, don’t miss the opportunity to explore its luxurious side. With their most delicious oysters and finest champagne, seafood in Sydney is definitely the crème de la crème.

Thank you, Marie, for introducing us to these luxurious options for seafood in Sydney.
I always knew Sydney was famous for its seafood and especially the oysters, but seeing all these options together is amazing!
Thanks, Elissa, I hope you get a chance to try them yourself.
Oysters and champagne?! Yes please! I would love to try out all of these when I’m in Sydney but that may be overdoing it 😉 Thanks for sharing.
Too much of a good thing just isn’t!
Hey Elaine. Unfortunately I don’t like oysters and to make matters worse I’m a beer drinker not really a wine or champagne drinker. But your descriptions of each restaurant would make an oyster lover very happy. I did really like the pictures you added, it looks like works of art. Although I’m not an oyster eater I’ve always wanted to chuck an oyster (I think that what is called lol)
It’s shucking an oyster and a great skill! We have a special knife at home and use a towel or an extra heavy rubber glove to pry these babies open. Baking them does it automatically and that’s our practice at home most often. I hope to drink more champagne and eat them raw in Sydney one day too.
Wow–so many great restaurants! All of the oysters look so good. I wouldn’t mind doing some taste testing in all of these spots 🙂 Hopefully we can check some of them out sometime!
I had the best ever oysters in Manley with my Grandpa in the 90’s. Have not been back to Sydney since then.
Sounds like a wonderful experience and to have done that back then, still remember it so fondly makes it truly memorable.
I had no idea Sydney was such a hub for indulging on oysters! I’m actually not a fan of oysters so I guess I would have to (ahem) settle on drinking champagne. 😉
Drinking champagne is never settling then is it?!
Wow, those oysters look amazing! Pairing them with good bubbly is a must. While I’ve never heard of Sydney rock oysters (living in BC, we boast ours are tops, of course!), but will keep them in mind when I visit.
Now wouldn’t it be fun to fly to compare the two? I’m in!
OMG I am totally salivating liek crazy! Gorgeous shots of oysters. I once lightly poached oysters in champagne, sounds weird but was truly lovely.
I love seafood sauteed in wine. As I’m a fan of bubbly though I’d save it for sipping but you may still be onto something.
You’ve managed to gather some amazingly fancy places! They all look stunning! Though I can’t really relate to the food as I have never been a big sea food fan, I can’t help but admire the exquisite way they are serving them. Looks so elegant and stylish and I am pretty sure very tasty.
Thanks, Sia. Not everyone is a fan of shellfish. I’m glad though that you liked the pictures and I hope champagne.
I am not a seafood fan (I’m very allergic to it) but your post made me drool. Indeed oysters and Champagne spell out sophistication. Those restaurants provide quite the venue for this kind of food. #TheWeeklyPostcard.
I can understand having a seafood allergy. My father was deathly allergic to shrimp later in life. I so hope to not follow in his footsteps. We’ll just have to settle on champagne!
I’m not into oysters or early-in-the-day alcohol, although these places certainly look elegant. I WOULD be interested in other high-end seafood opportunities in Sydney, as I’m sure there must be many.
Perhaps just a little bit of bubbly early in the day – along with a lovely meal – would work? Regardless fine dining in Sydney would be wonderful.
I had no idea Sydney was known for amazing oysters. Definitely, adding that to my list to check out when we visit next.
Sounds like a return trip in the making!
Two of my favoritest things n the world! I know where I’m going when I go to Sydney.
It’s a pretty dear partnership!
Wow, what an elegant article!! I love the Sydney Cove Oyster Bar myself and your photos make me want to go out for lunch TODAY with hubby and you guessed it… have oysters and champagne… and then maybe go back to the office and work, or maybe not 🙂 Have a great day yourself Elaine and great guest post Marie Nieves. #TheWeeklyPostcard
Thank you, Annette. So glad you enjoyed the introductions and already know the Sydney Cove Oyster Bar.
So – turns out I’m vegetarian so this post isn’t really useful to me. But I love the vibrant photos and brilliant compositions. Just shows that there are so many creative ways to click the same object 🙂 I’m sure this will be super useful for seafood loving travelers to Sydney!
Thank you, Supriya. I imagine that there are some veggie options that would go beautifully with Champagne. Thanks for writing.
Can’t wait for our trip to Melbourne and Sydney in May!!!
Oh, you lucky girl! I’d love to visit Melbourne and spend lots more time exploring OZ.
All of these oysters look absolutely amazing. I had some of the best oysters in Napa, and these photos remind me of them. Sooo good.
I’d love to know where you ate Oysters in Napa, Rachel. They’re some of my favorite treats.
The pictures in here are so over the top! I mean, they are gorgeous (and I do not even like oysters). I am sharing this post with my husband since he loves oysters. Let’s see if he wants to book a flight to Sydney right away. #TheWeeklyPostcard
That sounds like a fun idea! Let me know about the trip.
You are talking about 2 of my favorite things! It doesn’t get much better than champagne and oysters. Will definitely keep these places in mind next time I am in Sydney. Thanks for sharing on #TheWeeklyPostcard.
I’m so tickled to meet so many fellow Oyster lovers! These two things are some of my favorites as well. Thanks for stopping by.
Im going to Sydney this year I cant wait. Oysters are not my cup of tea though but I love champagne so will check these places out for a glass of bubbly.
I’m so envious that you’ll be in Sydney this year. Toast for me when you’re there!
